As we all quarantine ourselves by self isolating in the name of humankind, here are some tracks I’d suggest to keep your spirits up.
First off, Obesere and Zlatan on a track ?
Few years ago I could have sworn that this collaboration will never happen, but with the recent fortune of the “Egungun be careful” tag it makes sense that artists would love to get behind the queue the tag has created.
“Take” is a love song that comes with Assurance. It’s about pleasing your woman and filling her hear with happiness, love and joy. Giving her your all (body, soul & heart) and a blank cheque to access whatever amount she wants. On this number, Timi Dakolo employs the services of YBNL’s boss Olamide who brought in the indigenous vibe. With Topnotch production from Pheelz (Mr Producer).
I once read a fabled romantic tale that ended with a handsome street beggar marrying a wealthy lady. I closed the book with a rueful smile creased on my face, and wondered out loud ‘only if it were possible around these parts or anywhere for that matter’.
Hey, I’m all for people putting off sex until they’re adults and can handle the ramifications. Because even with safe sex, sex comes with responsibilities. It does tend to emotionally bond you to someone, and that can mean getting emotionally attached to the wrong person.
Yemi Alade is inarguably one of the most hardworking artistes in the industry. The effort she puts in to push her craft speaks volumes. I personally admire her consistency and the efforts she puts into pushing her craft and her grit in picking up new projects and seeing the actualization of them while heralding further her claim to being Mama Africa.
I am broke and in one mix already and as such I am currently not seeking employment; Interested parties are encouraged to file this relationship resume for potential consideration in the future. Just incase there is a future.
Here are 13 of my favorite YouTube channels that I subscribed to and encourage you to do the same if you aren’t already and if there’s something it appears you’ll like too.
In most African societies, cultural festivals have their roots in the early history of the communities where they are celebrated. The Osun Osogbo festival held yearly in the honour of a woman who is in the Yoruba mythology believed to be very powerful as evidently she is the only female of the sixteen major Yoruba deities. Her full appellation is Osun Sengesi Olooya Iyun which means ‘Osun the owner of the flawless, perfectly carved beaded comb’.
Wawu, I’m 26 years old! Happy birthday to me.
The last few years have been incredible, but I kinda feel like I’ve been a mess lately. Bored, broke and boring. Seems 26 is my time to figure out a way to change that and make this year the best one yet.
